On Saturday the search continued for Deniz Arda, 31, who has been missing since November 13.

– There are just over 300 people from the military volunteers and some close relatives of Deniz who participate. We also have drones and dogs out in the area, says Teresa Haugen.

The search operation started this week and focuses on the Nackare reserve and the Sörmland trail.

Therese Haugen says that a total of between 450 and 500 people participated in the operation.

He does not suspect any crime

Deniz is an officer in the Armed Forces and in recent years has lived in Stockholm where he has been involved in training new inshore hunters.

His father says he hasn’t heard from his son since Nov. 13, the same day he was out for a 50-mile run. Three days later he would travel to Arvidsjaur and participate in an exercise, but he never showed up.

On November 18, the parents were called by Deniz’s boss. They later found out that he never got on the plane.

Police are investigating the incident as a missing person and no crime is suspected.
