The government grants SEK 24 million to regions of the country. The three metropolitan regions, the Stockholm Region, the Västra Götaland Region and the Skåne Region, each receive two million and the remaining regions are allocated one million.
The money will be used to develop and strengthen contact opportunities for companies meeting patients with mental illness. Support should focus on finding digital solutions.
“Right now, many people are isolated and are very concerned about the crown pandemic. So we need to strengthen digital aid opportunities, ”says Deputy Prime Minister Isabella Lövin (MP), in a comment to TT.
For example, patients and family members should be able to communicate digitally with companies, in cases where physical visits cannot be made due to the spread of the coronavirus.
An earlier report from the Center for Epidemiology and Social Medicine in the Stockholm region shows that the crown pandemic can have a major impact on mental health.
