Before the Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr. showdown, both boxes were drug tested.
But in hindsight, Tyson said he smoked weed before the fight.
– It’s just what I do and who I am and how I’m going to die, he said at the press conference.
Mike Tyson, 54, and Roy Jones Jr., 51, ended their careers in boxing.
But last night they met at a show match. Earlier it was decided that no winner would be chosen, but Tyson was superior in all rounds.
Before the game, both boxes were tested. However, the test did not cover marijuana, which is legal to buy in California.
“This is how I’m going to die”
After the fight, Tyson shared that he smoked grass before stepping into the ring.
– It’s just who I am. It has no effect on me from a negative perspective. It’s just what I do, who I am and how I’m going to die. There is no explanation. There is no beginning, there is no end, he said at the press conference, according to USA Today.
Tyson also said he has plans to fight again, but there is no set date for that yet.
