It is played for Mikael Ymer at the Miami Open. He lost to Finn Emil Ruusuvuori in the third round with 1-2 in sets.

For the first time in his career, Mikael Ymer had to take to the court in the third round of a master tournament, but there was no further progress for the 22-year-old in Miami.

Ymer, ranked 95, lost to Finn Emil Ruusuvuori, ranked 83, with numbers 6-4, 1-6, 5-7 after just over two hours and 15 minutes of play.

It started off promising for the Swede, who took home the first set. The 21-year-old Finn then turned the game around and played against Ymer in the second set. Ruusuvuori held the lead in the third set, but at position 5-4, Ymer struggled to return to the match by taking home a break point at position 5-5.

However, the Finn was too strong. Ymer had a chance for another break point at 6-5, but the Finn saved the point and was able to take home victory on his second match ball.

Ymer has shown good form this year, reaching the third round of the Australian Grand Slam Open in February. In doing so, he became the first Swede to do so since Robin Söderling in 2011.

The Masters are the highest ranked tournament class on the ATP Tour after all four Grand Slam tournaments.
