Mellin: The restrictions make a very hateful impression.

The crown rules that were correct suddenly become completely wrong

Published:

Restrictions from the government and authorities appear to be increasingly obnoxious.

Decisions that were recently deemed correct and correct no longer apply.
Mouth guards that were previously described as almost dangerous are suddenly good. At least once in a while.

According to repeated statements by Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S), the government’s strategy has been based on making the right decision at all times.

Unfortunately, one has to say that seem to have made the wrong decision because they change at too short intervals.

One example concerns home and distance education in upper secondary school. Just a couple of weeks ago, it was reintroduced and was due to end on January 6.

The longest period of time with distance education it would fall like this during the Christmas holidays. As you might suspect, the decision had a short shelf life. Homeschooling now runs through January 24.

Another example concerns oral protection. Ever since the corona pandemic swept through Sweden, the Swedish Public Health Agency has said they can have a psychological effect. They serve as a reminder to keep your distance.

But otherwise they have mouth guards described as counterproductive. The common man cannot use them and if used incorrectly, they can increase the spread of infection rather than prevent it. Especially if the covers are damp or are being put on and taken off.

But now the authority is taking a 180 degree turn. According to manager Johan Carlson, protection can now have value when there are many people on public transport during “commuting”.

So it seems that even this decision was wrong. In any case, this is the opinion of the World Health Organization (WHO), which has long advocated for oral protection in public transport.

Many considered the decision to allow the company of up to eight people in a restaurant generous. Especially considering that at home you would only go out with people from the same household.

Now the government unites that line and halve the number to four. At the same time, the liquor store closes two hours to eight.

In short, the government and authorities hate. The motivation is the increasing spread of the infection and the stressful situation in medical care. You can understand that, but arriving on the Friday afternoon before Christmas is marked by despair.

It can also be argued that the strategy for which Sweden was praised and criticized during the spring has definitely ended up in the trash.

Then the restrictions would be comparatively light. Instead, both Stefan Löfven, Minister of Social Affairs Lena Hallengren (S) and Anders Tegnell appealed to reason. As long as he kept his distance, worked at home if possible, and washed his hands, most things would be fine.

It seems that there is no longer faith. On the contrary, the fabric of detailed regulations is becoming increasingly dense. Reason is no longer sufficient and may never have been.

However, those over 70 distance themselves completely – if they weren’t outside. In all, at that time, in the spring, it was often pointed out that one could find oneself in the open air only if the distance was reassuring.

When did you hear someone emphasize the excellence of outdoor encounters, whether you have turned 70 or not? It feels like a long time ago.

Now it is as it is. Municipal and regional activities that are not considered necessary are closed for one month. Closes the noon sale. The stores will do what my Ica store did in the country this spring, introduce a maximum ceiling for the number of customers at a time.

In fact, it is incomprehensible that it has not been done before at the national level, whether it is possible to legislate on it or not.

But now after nine months At that time, the government and authorities have caught up with the grocery store in the field. You absolutely cannot object to that.

But hatred, which at least from the outside can be perceived as surprisingly myopia, can be questioned.
