According to a new opinion poll, former Defense Minister Shigeru Ishiba is the favorite of the Japanese as a replacement for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. According to a Kyodo News poll, support for him is 34 percent, while the second, Minister Yoshihide Suga, receives 14 percent.
