“It is difficult for women to succeed or to please”

Maya Arctaedius came out in the final of the third Friday of “Idol”.
She was crying after the news.

“Hard to see all the girls at the bottom”
After the broadcast, Maya Arctaedius tells Aftonbladet that she was still happy with her performance and that this year is a very high level in the competition with many talented idols.
She thinks it was very difficult to hang out with Ella Hedström, who has grown closer to the competition.
When she came out, she also said that “it’s hard to see all the girls in the background every week.”

What do you mean by that?
– This is an industry where women are underrepresented and it is difficult for women to succeed or please. Many people feel that they have the right to comment on a woman’s appearance, a woman’s body, a woman’s way of behaving. I think it’s sad that even in the music industry and also on “Idol” I can see some traces that girls can finish more at the bottom, then I mean previous years as well. It’s not because of “Idol”, I think it depends on society in general.
She says she applied for “Idol” just so she can show that you can be yourself and inspire other girls who may have experienced the same things as her.
After the Friday night episode, there are now ten idols left in the competition. Have previously Indra Elg Y Gabriel Abdulahad | it came out in the final on Friday.
