The cause of death is still unknown.
I did not know the cult status
There are many rumors about Maksim Tsyhalka’s career, one of which concerns how his then club Dynamo Minsk was suddenly flooded with autograph requests and requests for souvenirs after the game’s release in 2001.
In an interview with Sportbladet 2017, Tsyhalka himself said that he never found out about any of it when it became known to the entire football world overnight.
– I didn’t even know. There were some friends of mine who told me. So I went through it and read a little bit online and in the newspapers. I thought it was exciting, how could it be like this. I played football professionally, but I never reached such high levels as I have in the game, he said.
Upgraded Apartments
After his football career, he worked as a craftsman.
– I live in Minsk and I have my own apartment. I am married and have two beautiful girls, ages five and two. A beautiful wife. I work on renovations, I renovate windows and apartments. I have a small business, he said in 2017.
