Iceland is gradually starting to ease the restrictions imposed to stop the spread of the coronavirus. According to one study, one explanation for the country’s successful fight against infection is widespread testing.

Meetings with up to 50 participants are allowed, unlike the previous limit of 20. However, restrooms, gyms, and similar facilities are still closed.
“It’s wonderful to come back and be able to meet friends,” Egill Arnason, 17, a carpenter, tells the AFP news agency.
– It was okay to disconnect from home, but it was getting a little boring.
According to AFP, the island nation of Iceland with more than 364,000 inhabitants has tested crowns for a very large proportion of its population: 14 percent, or more than 50,000 people. The extensive tests are an important explanation for the country’s successful work against the spread of the virus, according to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine in April.
