This week, at least two employees have tested positive for the coronavirus. First, one of Donald Trump’s personal associates was positively confirmed, and just a few days later it was confirmed that Mike Pence’s press secretary, Katie Miller, also carries the virus.
Miller had been in contact with both Vice President Pence and several others in the designated group that was directing the Trump administration’s work on the coronavirus.
Both Mike Pence and Donald Trump are tested daily, and neither has yet been infected. Other White House employees are also regularly evaluated.
Several employees have quarantined
After Katie Miller’s message and trial, three employees quarantined Mike Pence. He himself will work from the White House, but with limited social contacts.
And now another measure is being implemented to stop the infection in the White House: for all employees working in the west wing, where the president has his office in the famous Ovala room and several of his closest associates are also sitting, now masks are featured, reports include The Hill
The masking occurs despite the fact that President Trump and Vice President Pence are reluctant to wear face masks on the image.
Pence received criticism just a week ago when she visited a health clinic without wearing a mask, despite the clinic’s rules that she must do so.
