The Chinese league can be canceled.
Djurgården then opens to return Marcus Danielson, 31.
– If it becomes relevant, of course we will ask the question, says sports director Bosse Andersson.
The China Football Federation is considering establishing the season entirely, reports the South China Morning Post. The reason is that they refuse to play in front of empty stands, or reduce the number of rounds.
The league must be played as usual, or it should not be played.
A message is expected to arrive next week, and for obvious reasons it is of great interest to Djurgården.
– If so China establishes the season while we in Sweden start, of course we should ask Marcus the question, says sports director Bosse Andersson.
“The world is unique”
Soccer Direct was the first to report on stage: that Djurgården can, at best, return the gold hero who sold for the record amount in February for SEK 50 million.
– So whether it’s realistic or not, we should see it, but of course it would be very welcome, says Andersson.
It would be a dream deal for you, right? Almost unique.
– Well, but the soccer industry is unique. And right now, everyone is unique considering the crown crisis.
“Pretty united”
Bosse Andersson says he and Marcus Danielson have had a good dialogue since the center-back was sold to Dalian Yifang FC in late February.
– And I was talking to him now.
What did you say
– I cannot go into details, but Marcus has a rather difficult situation in China in which the situation is as it is.
Did you ask him if he would be interested in returning to Djurgården?
– This is how: we quite agree that it is better for him to play soccer than not soccer. If it could be solved, I think both sides are positive. But in the end, it is not your decision or mine.
Without Dalians?
– Exactly. But you have a good relationship with the coach (Rafael Benítez) and they recruit him as a soccer player, so you should also have the opportunity to play soccer, says Bosse Andersson.
