One of the new cases that Ekot can count on today is that of three unit heads in the Sjöbo municipality who received the covid-19 vaccine although they would not be allowed to get vaccinated.
The incident was discovered last week, when a union representative contacted human resources manager Dan Sivnert. The case is currently being investigated, but Dan Sivnert points out that it is not one of the current managers who himself decided to give the vaccine, but that it could be, among other things, a communication error.
However, you are concerned that this has happened.
– I think it is serious when there are deficiencies within the authorities responsible for this. And it’s something that I understand that people wonder how it can happen. And I also wonder how it can happen, if I’m honest, says Dan Sivnert.
Ekot survey shows that investigations are ongoing or have just been completed in at least 13 municipalities and in four regions of the country. In various locations, there are multiple incidents under investigation, bringing the total number of investigations to 20.
In all cases, it is about the employees – or employees’ relatives – being vaccinated even if they have not been prioritized for vaccination.
In almost all cases, it is common that the explanation for what happened is that the doses have been exhausted. And since doses cannot be ruled out, it has had to act quickly.
In the municipality of Fagersta some employees acted swiftly on another unknown case, which Ekot can report to you today. Two employees connected to vaccination in the municipality received doses and tried to find replacements themselves.
When they were unsuccessful, according to the municipality’s investigation, they should have contacted the responsible manager for help in prioritizing correctly. But they chose to vaccinate two close people.
– It’s not good. There is an order of priority that is developed and clear, says Sari Korpelin, acting social manager at Fagersta.
Following the investigation, the Municipality of Fagersta has taken employment law action against the two employees. The municipality does not want to say what measures are.
In several of the cases Across the country, employees have been suspended from their jobs. For example, the social manager at Upplands Väsby, which Aftonbladet reported the other day.
In the vast majority of cases, routines have been clarified for staff, so it doesn’t happen again.
