A man was shot and killed in Eskilstuna, according to police. The man was found shot outside in Nyfors district and was conscious when police arrived at the scene.
They took him to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.
– We received the information from the health service at half past nine. It is extremely tragic, but we must keep working, says police spokeswoman Åsa Willsund.
The alarm sounded shortly before 8:00 pm The incident occurred in a small center in a residential area, with shops and stores, and according to the Police, there were “many people” in the place.
– We are in the same situation as before, in the sense that we have no perpetrator in custody. We have added additional staff who will primarily search for the perpetrator, but who are also available to Nyfors and Eskilstuna residents, Willsund says.

The place where the man was found has been cordoned off.
Police are investigating the incident as murder. There are no suspects yet.
