Just before 4 p.m. on Friday, the police were alerted to a dispute between several people next to Järntorget.
– At the scene, a man is found who has been stabbed in the thigh with a sharp object, says Göran Carlbom, an officer on duty in the West Police Region.
The man, in his 20s, bled profusely and was taken to Sahlgrenska University Hospital with serious injuries.

The place is cordoned off by policemen in the morning, waiting for technicians. This is an area a bit on Landsvägsgatan towards Haga. Witnesses to the incident were questioned by police overnight, but no one is currently suspected or detained.
– There were a lot of people involved in the fight and it was a bit messy, says Göran Carlbom and continues:
– We worked according to the few, vague, tasks that we had of the perpetrators, but unfortunately there it did not bear fruit.
The incident is classified as an attempted murder.
