Shortly after 0230, the police received an alarm about a person who was shot in Hovsjö.
– We found the gunshot wounded who is taken by ambulance to the hospital. But sadly he has died, says Per Fahlström, press spokesman for the Stockholm Police.
A major police operation is currently underway in Södertälje, including by helicopter.
– We have two people arrested. I can’t tell you much more right now, says Per Fahlström.
In July, a man was injured in a shooting in Hovsjö. Police are investigating whether there is a connection between the cases.
– We always check for connection. But there is nothing I can say now, says Per Fahlström.
A man wounded by a gunshot appeared in the emergency room
Earlier in the evening, another shooting occurred in Södertälje. This was reported to the police thanks to the fact that a gunshot wounded man presented himself in an emergency room.
– Your injuries are not considered life threatening. We have identified a probable crime scene, outdoors in the Geneta area. We will conduct a technical investigation on the site, says Per Fahlström.
One person has been arrested on suspicion of shooting.
