Police have cordoned off an area at the Smedjegatan / Bergsgatan intersection in Möllevångstorget in Malmö after an alleged assassination attempt.
A man has been arrested in Malmö on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a riot in Möllevångstorget.
Callers alerted about the riots at 9:15 p.m., after which several police patrols rushed to the scene.
– There is a person with suspicion of stab wounds or cuts, says Katarina Rusin, a police press release.
The victim was immediately taken to the hospital on a patrol car. It is not clear how serious the man’s injuries are.
A suspect was searched by a police patrol near the Triangle train station.
– That person has now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, says Rusin.
The crime scene in Möllevångstorget is cordoned off and the police will carry out a technical investigation at the scene.
