– We do not know if it is the same aggressor in both cases. But this is not common and it suddenly happens in two places for half an hour, so of course we look at the connections, says Carina Skargerlind, spokeswoman for the Stockholm Police.
The police were alerted to the attempted robbery in Nacka at 19.13. At 7:45 p.m. the alarm was raised about the second attempted robbery, which occurred at a gas station in the Lake Hammarby town. In that case, the victim must have received cuts to the hands.
– It’s about avoiding injuries to the hands and forearm, says Carina Skagerlind.
The woman has received medical attention and the injuries must not be serious.
Stopped in the parking lot
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., the police were able to arrest a man in a parking lot in Sickla. He is currently a suspect in the attempted robbery at Nacka.
– We have information and the person agrees with much of what we heard from the witness and the plaintiff, says Carina Skagerlind.
For investigative reasons, he does not want to go into detail about the alleged perpetrator.
The man is suspected of attempted robbery and a serious violation of the knife law. More criminal suspicions may arise.
