At the same time, the decision that Malmö’s upper secondary schools will only have distance education is extended. Libraries have been closed since December 19, and on Monday the news came that the leisure centers will be closed. After the Christmas holidays, the Malmö Cultural School will carry out all distance learning.

Digital leisure

Leisure centers must, however, have some digital activity, but how it is to be designed and in what way is not indicated in the press release of the Malmö municipality.

The decision also means that all activities at Kul in Malmö will temporarily cease until January 24. Torup’s open-air farm closes its kiosks and Öresund’s funkis closes. The opportunity to borrow equipment on Fritidsbanken ceases.

Johan Hermansson, leisure director, writes in the press release that the municipality is trying to develop other leisure opportunities for Malmö residents.

The bathing and sports facilities, as well as the sports facilities for the club’s activities, will also be closed from Monday.

The decision also applies to outdoor facilities. All reserved association activities must cease.
