Henrik Lundqvist’s heart problem has meant a difficult time for the whole family, according to twin brother Joel Lundqvist.

Joel Lundqvist returned to SHL ice hockey on Wednesday after a five-game suspension. After the 4-1 win against HV71, however, he also received questions about heart problems noted by twin brother Henrik.

– These are difficult weeks, there is nothing to talk about. But it’s not something I want to insist on, it’s the way it is, says Joel Lundqvist.

– These are difficult weeks and will be difficult in the future. This is how it is.

Henrik Lundqvist joined the Washington Capitals in October after playing with the New York Rangers for 15 years.

But on December 17, the goalie star announced that he suffers from a heart defect which means he has to cancel the next NHL season.

Heart problems also require surgery, an aortic valve replacement.

– Of course, there is a lot of emotion involved, says Joel Lundqvist.

However, there should be nothing wrong with your own heart, according to the Frölunda striker.

– I can tell I keep track of my stuff and it looks good. Enough, says Joel Lundqvist.

– I do not want to stay here and talk about the medical more than that everything looks fine.
