Marek Hrivik was missing and Leksand’s superstring was broken.
Then Luleå won 5-2 and Linus Klasen scored his 200th point in the SHL.
– I had no idea, Klasen tells C More.
Leksand started the match strong, but Luleå took over the match rather quickly. Only in the middle of the second period, Leksand regained some control, but then it was already 3-0 for Luleå. The match ended 5-2 for Norrbotten.
– We started well, they get to work a lot. For me, it has gone very well here at the beginning of the season, but it’s important not to start to relax, says Victor Berglund, who scored Luleå’s second goal, to C More.
200 points
Linus Klasen fired two shots at the post in the second period. Just seconds after the last hit from the post, he was responsible for assisting Erik Gustafsson’s 3-0 goal. That was Klasen’s 200th point at SHL.
– I had no idea, but it was fun, Klasen tells C More during the break.
Soon after, Luleå’s Daniel Sondell was sent off twice, for cross control and stumble. Leksand got his first power play of the match and then it only took them four seconds to find the goal, through Otto Paajanen. His other objectives also came in power play.
Nausea after the flight.
Leksand missed one of his star players, Marek Hrivik, who began to feel ill after the flight to Luleå, according to general manager Thomas Johansson.
-It will be a hard blow when you miss a very good player and a scorer, of course, Carter Camper says after the game.
He spun off the Leksand chain of success, of which Hrivik has been a part along with Peter Cehlárik and the aforementioned Camper. One of these three has participated in 21 of the 27 goals Leksand has scored so far this season. Tonight, neither Cehlárik nor Camper were involved in the case.
Luleå is now the leader of the league and remains the only team to have scored points in all SHL games this season.
