His authority is undermined after the trip to the mall

Stefan Löfven has used the tips of his toes to make us do well during the pandemic.
But now their authority is undermined.
Who will believe his exhortations in the future?
It doesn’t matter if it was completely empty in the Gallerian shopping center in the middle of Stockholm when the Prime Minister visited it on the Sunday before Christmas.
Anyway, I wouldn’t have gone there.
In recent months Stefan Löfven wanted and encouraged. He has taught those who have been careless and have not followed advice and recommendations.

– All the things you would like to do, but are not necessary: Set. Cancel. Postpone, Stefan Löfven said in his address to the nation on November 22, emphasizing, as he has done since the pandemic crossed Sweden’s borders, personal responsibility. It was we, acting good or bad, who would decide what the Christmas and New Year celebrations would be like.
But four days before Christmas Eve, Stefan Löfven stepped forward despite his own moral biscuits at the Gallerian in Stockholm City to buy something from a watch shop.
Judging by the images, it was rare among the store’s customers. But in the mall itself, there seem to be a lot of people.
But that is not the point. It’s that Löfven he must be better than the rest of us at following restrictions and advice. Not only because he is prime minister, but also because he emphasized personal responsibility, the importance of having a working moral compass, as he against the wall adorned with flags in the Government Offices urged us to take care of ourselves and give up everything unnecessary. There the collection could be counted in a physical store.
Löfven’s press secretary gives an extremely silly explanation in a statement to TT. Löfven would not shop at the mall, so he would buy something.
Excuse me, does it have something to do with that? It is probably congestion and the associated risk of infection that should be avoided. OR?
As Minister of Social Affairs, Lena Hallengren, I say: don’t make excuses, do what you have to, you know what it is.
Or as Löfven himself put it at the same time:
– Do not invent evasions that would do your activity well.
Just two days before his visit to the Gallerian, Stefan maintained Löfven together with the Swedish Public Health Agency in an acclaimed and dramatic press conference. Restrictions were tightened, state and municipal operations were closed, mouth guards were used in public transportation, and stores and shopping malls were avoided. The noon sale must be canceled.
But apparently neither Löfven nor his Justice Minister Morgan Johansson took the words seriously. It seems like it didn’t really apply to them.
Löfven called Morgan Johansson’s purchases in Lund during the noon sale for “very inappropriate”. What designation do you give yours? Unclear.
The great risk of Löfven and Johansson’s actions is not primarily that they appear hypocritical. Without too many people being able to take it as income because they do not have to follow the advice and recommendations to the letter.
But perhaps the worst thing is that Löfven it will be difficult for him to continue exhorting. At that time, his authority and credibility had been seriously undermined. Why obey him when he doesn’t do it himself?
