“You should be able to trust Sweden.”

Stefan Löfven (S) conveys that message in a discussion article on Aftonbladet, where he claims that the country’s inhabitants are leaving a heavy year behind.

“The Sweden that was affected by the pandemic was far from perfect. The main deficiencies in our country’s organization have become brutally clear,” the Prime Minister writes.

Löfven further writes that the government is in the process of “building something better and stronger” and lists a number of points, including “big additions” to municipalities and regions to improve welfare next year.

He also says he wants to take a hard line on serious crime and highlights the major recovery efforts in next year’s budget.

Löfven does not comment on recent criticism of him and other ministers for visiting shops, despite calls to avoid congestion at the Christmas store.
