Today, Thursday 5/11, the local general councils have been introduced in Sörmland. These are called clearings of what is expected of all who live and stay in Södermanland County. The reason is the increasing spread of the infection in society and the decision was made by the Public Health Agency in consultation with the infection control doctor in Sörmland.
– The situation is serious and I am very concerned about development. It is up to everyone who lives and stays in Sörmland to take advantage of the strictest advice to reduce the spread of infection, protect people who are at risk of serious illness, and at the same time protect the care and burden we see increasing. there too, says Signar Mäkitalo, an infection control doctor in Sörmland.
These tips apply in Sörmland
Refrain from staying indoors where people gather, such as stores, shopping malls, museums, libraries, bathrooms, and gyms. Exceptions are necessary visits to, for example, supermarkets and pharmacies.
You should not stay longer than necessary indoors with people you don’t normally know. Outdoor environments are not covered by this tip. Necessary visits to, for example, buy food or medicine, or training for medical reasons in a bathhouse or gym are not covered. However, it is important to make these visits at times when the risk of congestion is small and changing rooms are avoided during any training.
Refrain from participating, for example, in meetings, concerts, performances, sports training, matches and competitions. However, this does not apply to sports training for children and youth born in 2005 or later.
You should refrain from events that gather many people at once, whether indoors or outdoors. These include concerts, theaters, cinemas and other performances, religious events and celebrations. The risk of spreading the infection increases in these situations and is also risky with travel to and from such events.
Avoid having physical contact with people other than those you live
The council reinforces the requirement to stay away from people other than those you live with. By physical contact we mean people you know who are between 1 and 1.5 meters apart, and where the actual meeting (contact) lasts more than 15 minutes. That kind of physical contact that you should completely avoid.
You should also avoid certain types of activities if they cannot be done without physical distance from others. It can be certain sports activities such as contact sports such as wrestling, ice hockey and basketball; private events such as parties, weddings, parties, dinners and afterwork; health and beauty care that is not medically justified, such as massage, foot care, hairdressing or beauty care.
Businesses and employers should take steps so that everyone can follow the general advice above.
Local general councils that focus on workplaces and activities are examples of measures that can make it easier for people to keep their distance and prevent the spread of infection. The person responsible for the business decides which of the measures or measures can be used.
Here are some examples of actions:
- A business can adapt its opening hours by extending or modifying the hours to minimize the risk of spreading infections.
- The company may have systems that show when there is the greatest risk of spreading the infection or when to avoid visiting the company.
- The company can report on how many people can meet in the room at the same time.
- The company can try to direct its visitors at times when it is less crowded or offer digital alternatives.
- The activity should inform when it is not appropriate for entire families or other groups to visit the activity together, if not necessary. You can also offer outdoor activities for accompanying children.
Workplaces have been selected in general councils, as a large proportion of those who receive COVID-19 have been infected at work. The most important measure for workplaces is to promote work from home or to enable flexible working hours so that staff can avoid traveling by public transport during peak hours, during local general council application hours.
Keep in mind that schools are regulated in a different order.
