The 17-year-old Mattias was last seen as he was leaving a party in the Hjortsberg district of Ljungby. It was at 00-30 o’clock overnight until Saturday.
The next morning, a great search for Mattias began, which lasted all weekend.

“We can’t find my son”
The police, the Armed Forces and hundreds of volunteers have searched for Mattias but have not yet found him.
During the night until Monday, the police ended their special search operation, but they have not stopped searching for Mattias.
Mother Erika Borg, 50, is currently living a nightmare.
– Nothing leads to results. We can’t find my son. Four days have passed and we still don’t know anything. The worst thing is the uncertainty, he says.
She tells what happens on Tuesday.

“Give hope”
– Missing People is investigating new areas and I don’t really know what the police are doing, but I guess they are still working. We invited a Falkenberg search dog and they are searching. Twice the dog has taken us to the same place. They have promised to take the search dog until they find Mattias, says Erika.
She describes all the support she has received as a driving force.
– It’s fantastic, I’m very grateful for that. It has given power. It has given hope. At the same time, I feel that many cannot last long to leave work and family to apply. I know how it feels when it leads nowhere, then the power wears off for a while anyway, says Erika.

“We are looking for a living person”
Mattias must have been wearing jeans at the time of the disappearance and possibly both the jacket and shoes are missing, according to police. He is about 175 centimeters tall, blond, and has a slim physique.
Police are asking the public for clues. Anyone who sees Mattias should call 112 and those with other information should call 114 14.
– Of course, we want to find Mattias as soon as possible. We are looking for a living person and we do not suspect any crime. We currently do not know why Mattias has disappeared, Rickard Lundqvist, a press spokesman for the police in the southern region, previously said.
