A star signing and a 17-year-old goalkeeper.
They became Luleå’s heroes at home against Växjö.
Linus Klasen decided with 30 seconds to go and Jesper Wallstedt put in a great effort on goal as Luleå won 2-1.
Linus Klasen is with their offensive leader in Luleå to help the team go all the way this season.
After two assists in the first three games, the 34-year-old’s first goal came at home to Växjö. And it came at the right time.
“Nice”
With 29 seconds to go, the 34-year-old assured Luleå could win 2-1.
– Good thing you came in. We deserved it and had other opportunities to take home the game, says Klasen at Cmore.
“I have been waiting”
In addition to Klasen, 17-year-old Jesper Wallstedt played an important role. In his first start at SHL, Wallstedt dropped just one puck and saved 20 shots.
– It was fun. I’ve waited three games on the bench to jump. I’m very loaded and it’s a lot of fun playing hockey. They really tagged me and then it’s fun to win too, says Wallstedt on C More.
– Of course you’re a little nervous. It has been talked about. Of course you want to act and win the match for the team. It was a lot of fun, Wallstedt continues, giving himself a “clearly passed” rating.
In March of last season, he became SHL’s youngest goalkeeper when he was replaced by HV71.
