Fredrik Lindgren has an impressive result so far in the World Cup series. In four competitions he has qualified in so many finals. After last weekend’s first win, Lindgren leads the World Cup standings, seven points ahead of current world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik of Poland.
Lindgren has so far exuded a lot of calm, both in his acting and in the preparations. A little under the motto “one heat at a time”.
“It’s only half”
He will continue this concept before the weekend in Prague, where the first of the two competitions will be played on Friday evening.
– It is important to try to stay in the form that I am now. This weekend there is a new competition with new qualifiers and that is what is in focus. Staying on top of the world is a long-term job. So far I have managed to maintain incredible smoothness. But we’re only halfway there, and by that I mean there is a long way to go. We look forward to two good days in Prague, where I will try to keep the position I occupy, says Fredrik Lindgren.
The Marketa Stadium in Prague is the longest track in this year’s World Cup series at 353 meters. Fredrik Lindgren won at Prague 2018, when he beat Pole Patryk Dudek at the finish line in the final tie.
In 2019, Lindgren finished sixth in Prague after reaching the semi-finals, when Janusz Kolodziej of Poland won the competition.
In addition to Lindgren, the Swedish colleague Antonio Lindbäck is also present in Prague. Lindbäck is ranked 17th in the championship before Prague.
