Martin Melin and Anis Don Demina were last after the jury and spectator votes were counted. After settling in a duel in which they returned to perform their dances, it was clear that Martín Melin had to leave the program.
– It has been two very fun months. Incredibly fun, I didn’t think I would have that much fun. It has been a fantastic journey, says Martin Melin after the announcement.
The theme of the evening was that the participants would celebrate a memorable year. Martin Melin chose 1997, the year “Robinson” won, and his life changed radically.
Together with his dance partner Maria Zimmerman, he performed a jive.
– There is a lack of jive steps, but that said, what a change from the previous weeks, said juror Dermot Clemenger after the dance.
Injured after the first program
Ann Wilson also gave Martin Melin positive comments.
– I see a big improvement. Keep fighting and this will be great.
Tony Irving, on the other hand, was not so positive and when it became clear that Melin was on the loose, he said it was probably because the other participants had advanced further in their dance development.
– Martin has had his injury, he drove his jive but is a bit behind the others. perhaps the Swedish people have betrayed him.
Before the premiere of “Let’s dance”, Martin Melin suffered a muscle strain in his calf that caused him to receive treatment, among other things, with laser and massage. Due to the injury, dance partner Maria Zimmerman was forced to change their choreography.
When he performed his jive on Saturday night, he didn’t feel the injury as much, but despite that it was not enough to stay in the competition.

– It is sad of course, but at the same time it is a very fair result. Can’t talk about it. I have not been able to deliver properly due to the injury and then I was the one who danced worse and that is what needs to be evaluated, Martin Melin tells Expressen after the program.
At the same time, he says he feels sad to have to leave now that the injury has improved.
– It is clear that it is a bit bitter now that it started to improve, but at the same time that is what it is. I was injured in the first program and then I have to pay for it now.
Martin Melin says he is satisfied with his performance and it means a lot to him that he dared to dance in front of a million viewers on live television.
– It has given me confidence to dare to use my body to the beat of the music, which I had not dared to do before. I really take it with me and it is wonderful. I’m happy about that.
Will you keep dancing?
– Yes in private. It is not something that I will continue with in an organized way but I will dare to get on the dance floor now in a different way that I did before being in “Let’s dance”.
