Since August 14, Le Pain Francais Bistro has been forced to close after midnight. The decision was implemented immediately and they were also threatened that they would have to pay a fine of 500,000 Swedish crowns if they chose to open at night.
The decision comes from the environmental administration and is based on the fact that the restaurant has repeatedly had too much congestion in the restaurant based on the spread of the infection.
The restaurant has also been warned that inspectors who would carry out congestion checks were not allowed in. The porters detained the inspectors and let them in minutes later.

On Thursday, the restaurant appealed the environmental administration’s decision and the administrative court ruled in favor of Le Pain Francais Bistro; they may reopen after midnight.

The Administrative Court announces that the decision to close the restaurant for the night no longer applies, but a final decision has yet to be announced.
– There are many circumstances to consider if inhibition is to be granted, both the individual interest in the company and if there is an argument of opposing interest. What in this case is the risk of spreading the infection, which is very serious, says Ann-Louise Björnsson, executive director of the case in the administrative court, to GP.
According to Ann-Louise Björnsson, there are various circumstances surrounding the municipality’s information on the inspections. Among other things, five complaints have been received that are not documented and the municipality must have also carried out controls before the law came into force on July 1.
For these reasons, the administrative court has chosen to revoke the decision of the environmental administration.
