Lars Lerin is relieved that he is out of Christmas hospitality.
Nervousness was at its worst just before the broadcast.
-Then it was a bit close that I thought about the electric chair, he tells Aftonbladet.
Lars Lerins, 66, contribution as a Christmas presenter on SVT praised by Aftonbladet readers. In the survey on the site during the day and night, almost half of the readers gave it the highest rating, five more.
– It’s wonderful to hear that. I heard for a while during the broadcast here that people have appreciated it, and then the nerves calmed down a bit. It was worse at first before it started and the seconds counted, he tells Aftonbladet immediately after the broadcast.
“How should this go?”
The artist and author says he’s now looking forward to taking a shower, going to bed, and “enjoying getting this done.”
How nervous were you about turning on the light?
– I wasn’t that nervous then, but it was just before it started, that countdown, that the recording manager counted down with his fingers. Then he came a little close to thinking about the electric chair. How should this go? I thought.

What was the highlight for you personally?
– It was probably now at the end anyway here in the riot, I thought I was almost at the finish line and it felt kind of wonderful to actually paddle to shore.
Junior invited you to a dance, how was it?
– It was lucky that there wasn’t so much, it was like a single twist there, so then it went well I think. Otherwise I’m not a dancer directly, I’m so heavenly stiff.
Are you celebrating success now?
– There will be no celebration, it will only be a relief to lie down and sink into this, which is clear and that I have achieved it this day. It’s just so big I think!
I greet those who are having a hard time
During the broadcast, Lars Lerin took the opportunity to give a Christmas greeting to all those who feel lonely during Christmas, and to those who are now having a hard time in the country.
– There are many who are having a hard time now in Sweden and in the world and many are ill or perhaps have a relative who passed away during the year. The care staff is now doing a great job throughout the day, she said and continued:
– But now I will not sit here as governor and try to find some comfort. But I know one thing. It’s that everything changes over time. That there is no pain or anxiety that never happens. Because everything happens, but everything takes its time.
