Gulan Avci is replaced on the labor market committee by Arman Teimouri, who previously served on the business committee. The tax committee will be the new home of Gulan Avci. DN has contacted her for a comment.
Gulan Avci has led the party’s action in many contexts during the ongoing battle for changes to the employment protection law. The party has strictly insisted that if the social partners do not reach an agreement, the government and cooperating parties will proceed with the legislation, based on the proposals in the investigation that has been carried out. On Friday, the parties announced for the second time that the negotiations had failed.
The Party of the Left threatens along with the right-wing opposition to overthrow the government if the investigation proposal is presented. The investigated proposals are now under consultation.
Gulan Avci was one of the phalanxes within the Liberals who in winter 2019 would rather free Ulf Kristersson (M) as Prime Minister than support Stefan Löfven. She was also a strong supporter of Nyamko Sabuni taking over the leadership of the party after Jan Björklund. She herself was also included as one of the names in the discussion about possible candidates. Previously, Gulan Avci has been, among other things, president of Liberal Women.
In his first comment as a spokesman for labor market policy, Arman Teimouri notes that the party’s strict line is fixed.
– It is regrettable that the parties have not agreed, but what is on the table is an investigation that is going to be carried out. We are waiting for the consultation bodies from time to time we will look at them but we will not make important changes, in that case it is a technical issue. bill changes, says Arman Teimouri.
The Liberals also announce that the party’s climate policy spokesman, Joar Forsell, will move from the tax committee to the business committee, where, among other things, energy matters are handled.
