Kry has not yet billed the region for physical and digital medical visits made in Stockholm County during the month of September, but the company has given advance notice to the region.
– Kry has claimed that there are approximately 26,000 digital visits between September 1 and 23, says Christoffer Bernsköld, responsible for care arrangements in the Stockholm Region.
In May, additional compensation was introduced for newly opened health centers, meaning they receive an additional 50 percent in visiting fees. This after a decision in the contract committee.
To benefit of the facility allocation, the number of patients in the specific health center should not exceed 4,000 people. After Kry’s record-breaking patient list of 10,586 in a month, the vast majority – just over 10,000 – are listed at the Gallerian Health Center. This means that Kry cannot receive the additional compensation for doctor visits at this health center.
However, they can still receive the additional compensation at their health center in Sibyllegatan, and it is at this health center that digital visits are recorded, according to Christoffer Bernsköld. This gives Kry an additional 50 percent in visitation fees for digital video visits.
“KRY’s digital operations are located in Sibyllegatan,” says Christoffer Bernsköld, adding that this is due to the fact that the application was received first and therefore processed first.
In total, Kry can bill SEK 580 region for a visit to the digital doctor, if the patient is also not listed. This is more than what the digital doctor visits cost when the company billed according to the out-of-county compensation, i.e. 500 SEK.
Kry’s Acting Press Manager Claes Nyberg doesn’t want to answer questions about the number of hits or where they’re logged:
“The region has not yet configured our access to record visits. Therefore, we have not registered them yet, but we are awaiting your instructions on how to do so. We follow the region’s directives on reporting and compensation and, therefore, it is necessary to ask them questions in this regard. “
Digital Medical Supplies Sweden AB, as the company behind Kry is called, applied to open a health center in Stockholm as of May 1 this year. The same day the establishment assignment would take effect.
However, they didn’t open until September.
