17 places up and faster in race two yesterday.

16 places up and fastest in race two again today.

Kristoffer Jakobsen, 26, proved once again that he has speed for the absolute elite of slalom, and he celebrated with great joy.

Alta Badia yesterday and Madona di Campilgio today.

But it seemed almost the same slalom competition for Kristoffer Jakobsen. Like yesterday, the Swede had a relatively pale first race and passed into race two by a small margin.

Yesterday he took over and climbed from 29th to 12th with the second fastest race of all.

Norwegian victory

Tonight he returned to do a great second race and was in the lead.

Såååjaaaa! He roared at the television camera.

This time he broke the lead immediately when Jean-Baptiste Grange fell seven hundredths faster immediately afterward. But then the skiers followed the skiers who were having trouble keeping the Swede’s time at bay.

When it was all over, Kristoffer Jakobsen had moved up 16 spots to 10th, just 61 hundredths from the win. Well, he had the best time of all in the second race again.

– Great fun, if you can get two good rides together in the same competition, you should get to the top, says Pernilla Wiberg at SVT.

Emotional winner

Kristoffer Jakobsen’s drive-up ended in the shadow of Henrik Kristoffersen. The Norwegian star started twelfth in race two but then drove to victory before compatriot Sebastian Foss Solevaag. His first win of the season. Third place went to local skier Alex Vinatzer.

An emotional victory after a tough period of competition.

– I have never been as excited after a victory as I think now, the last three weeks have been horrible. I only have skis and family in my life, so when it doesn’t work it’s hard, he says in the victory interview.
