The leader of the Christian Democratic Party, Ebba Busch.
KD says no to the proposal of the government and the cooperation parties to reduce the employer contribution for young people. The party proposes its own variant.
Unlike the moderates, the KD is keen to help the Left Party to arouse the government’s mistrust of labor law.
– The best way to promote good politics is to replace the government, says party leader Ebba Busch in connection with a press conference on the party’s alternatives to the government budget.
In their budget proposal, the Christian Democrats say no to the government’s tax cuts for households, in favor of their own proposals for tax cuts of just over SEK 30 billion. The biggest of these is a reduction of 14.5 billion for those who work and for retirees. You can give a maximum of 260 SEK per month in lower taxes.
Support for those who get a job
The second most important is the abolition of the total employer contribution for the unemployed who are employed. Running for one year, it is estimated to cost $ 6.2 billion in reduced tax revenue and provide 86,000 jobs.
– Our target group is not only young people from 19 to 23 years old, but all those who are unemployed. Where government support goes mainly to those who have jobs, our support goes to those who get jobs, says Jakob Forssmed, the party’s political-economic spokesman.
Care and justice for the elderly
The party also wants to increase the state tax cap, so that more people do not have to pay state taxes. Cost: 2.3 billion.
Other parts of the party’s budget proposal are investments in the care of the elderly, including 2.25 billion Swedish crowns to, for example, be able to employ more nurses.
The judiciary also gets more resources. A special salary investment is made in the police and KD also wants to hire Norwegian policemen.
KD pays for his proposals by saying no to government tax cuts, not keeping the highest level of compensation in the unemployment insurance fund and reintroducing the far cap on health insurance. Significant cuts are also being made in labor market policy, in construction subsidies, and in environmental and nature conservation.
KD wants to introduce vehicle taxes for older cars and start reducing interest deductions on loans.
