The leader of the Swedish Democratic party, Jimmie Åkesson, wants to know what the party should relate to if there is future budget cooperation with the moderates and Christian Democrats.
– At least the fundamentals should be in print, Åkesson tells SVT.
The SD leader also has demands when it comes to freeing the leader of the moderate party, Ulf Kristersson, as prime minister. The demands depend on the outcome of the elections, but refer to the influence of the party in that government.
Åkesson: Should have more influence than KD
Jimmie Åkesson wants influence to be proportionate. This means that SD should have a greater influence than the Christian Democrats, he says.
– I mean that if you are going to be part of a collaboration in some way, it is reasonable that you get influence in proportion to your size, says the party leader to SVT.
Jimmie Åkesson is asked if he has spoken to KD frontman Ebba Busch about the requirement. He responds that he thinks “you understand these things.”
– And it is clear that if we achieve a position that allows a government to act in the right direction on issues that we believe are important, we will, Jimmie Åkesson tells SVT.
