“I feel like the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations is very difficult,” she writes on Instagram.

“It affected my mental health”

Jesey Nelson herself writes about the decision in a longer post on Instagram, where she begins by saying that the past nine years have been the most incredible of her life, and she recalls her time in the group.

“The truth is that lately being in the band has had a negative effect on my mental health. I feel like the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations is very difficult, ”she writes.

Jesy Nelson also writes that she needs to spend time with her loved ones and focus on doing things that make her happy.

“I’m ready for a new chapter in my life, I don’t know what it will be right now, but I hope you are still there and support me.”

She ends the post by thanking her fans and the other girls in the band, and writes that she hopes they continue to pursue their dreams and create music.

Little Mix, like the previously popular boy band One Direction, formed on the talent show “X Factor” in 2011. The members applied as solo artists, but the jury brought them together as a group.
