Actor Jeff Bridges, 70, has been diagnosed with cancer.
“Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate to have a good team of doctors,” he wrote on Twitter.

Oscar-winning Jeff Bridges is one of Hollywood’s veterans and perhaps best known for his role as the bowling killer “The Dude” in the 1998 film “The Big Lebowski.”
During the night of Tuesday, Swedish time, he told on Twitter that he has been diagnosed with lymph node cancer.
“As The Dude would have said: New shit has appeared,” the tweet begins.
He praises his doctors and writes “the prognosis is good”:
“I will start treatment and keep you posted on my recovery.”
In a second tweet shortly thereafter, he thanks family and fans for their support, and appeals to all American voters.
Thank you for your prayers and your wishes. And, when you’re here anyway, don’t forget to vote. Because we are all part of this together ”.
Jeff Bridges made his big screen debut as a baby in 1951 in the movie “Stamped.” He has played nearly 100 roles during his career and has been nominated for an Oscars seven times. Ultimately, he won a statuette for best male lead in “Crazy Heart” in 2010.
