25 years ago you were going to buy a new horse. The choice fell on Järvsöfaks, to which he immediately became attached. Early customer Magnus Frunck He also realizes that her gaze did not disappoint him. He came to participate in a journey that rarely occurs: owning a star, a unique one.
At age 26, and eleven years after his career ended, Järvsöfaks has fallen asleep.
– I’ve known for a long time. So it’s never fun once the decision is made and the day arrives. But we can be happy that Järvsöfaks is probably doing very well where he is now, says Frunck.
– Järvsöfaks has meant a lot to me, partly financially, partly all because of all the memories and experiences that you have been a part of. It has been something very special, something that you invite everyone to experience. And the heat that has reached us recently is also overwhelming.

“My first big win”
The memories of the time with Järvsöfaks on the slopes are many.
– Yes, it says a lot that time passes, how long Järvsöfaks still enriched my life and that of many others. I remember very well when I got on Hagmyren and the horse was going to an awards race. He was filming the race with a large video camera on his shoulder. Today they take out their mobile … So I have to say that the Norwegian derby is probably the sporting highlight. Especially since it was my first big victory as a horse owner.
With the success came everything else: money and resurrection from everywhere.
– The fan club he rode with the horse was wonderful. We had so much fun together. And it was so clear that wherever we competed, the public clung to Järvsöfaks. Even the Norwegians seemed more interested in Järvsöfaks than in Bork Rigel, Moe Odin and all who were called. I still think that says a lot about Järvsöfaks as a profile and as an individual.
After the race, the focus was on breeding work. Not only because of Järvsöfaks, but Magnus Frunck also took an interest in the brood piece.
Without the success of Järvsöfak, the breeding of Sundbo horses would never have existed to the extent that it has existed and exists. It was he who really interested me and, above all, it was he who gave me the economic opportunities to invest in breeding. So even after my career, Järvsöfaks has given me a lot.
Sundbo El Ab in Söderhamn, behind Magnus Frunck, has bred almost 60 horses. The most successful so far is Järvsöfakssonen Sundbo Kravall. The horse earned almost SEK 1.6 million during his career and has 45 registered offspring in Sweden.

“Eternally grateful to him”
That Järvsöfaks was allowed to walk in his pasture, until Monday, is something the co-owner values very much.
– He had a great time, it would have felt bad to move him. Now he had to walk in the same meadow in which he always walked, he had to live in his box in which he always lived, and he became the king of the court. And that Jan-Olov now fixes it so well even afterwards, it is clear that he feels fantastic. He has given us fantastic memories, so it feels good that all of Trotting Sweden can have the opportunity to remember and honor him through a wonderful graveyard.
– As I said, Järvsöfaks has not only enriched my life, but the whole of Travsveriges. For that I will be eternally grateful. Monday was a day of pain, but I will always remember Järvsöfaks with joy, says Frunck.
