Lars-Johan Jarnheimer has extensive experience selling and marketing “products and services to consumers in highly competitive environments in complex industries that are largely regulated, including telecommunications and media,” the nominating committee writes.

Lars-Johan Jarnheimer has been Chairman of the Board of Telia since autumn 2019. During the period 1999-2008, he was CEO of Tele2. Millicom and Tele2 were controlled by Kinnevik at the time. Lars-Johan Jarnheimer has previously served on the Millicom board.

In addition to Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, Millicom proposes Bruce Churchill and Sonia Dulá as new members. Both have extensive experience in senior positions and extensive knowledge of Latin America, where Millicom has much of its operations.

Tomas Eliasson, who has been on the Millicom board since 2014 and who is Sandvik’s chief financial officer, and Lars-Åke Norling, who has been on the board since 2018 and who is the CEO of Nordnet, have declined re-election.
