Jan Emanuel Johansson, known, among other things, as a former member of the Social Democrats and for his participation in the 2001 Robinson Expedition, has been arrested by the police.

The reason?

He refuses to put a license plate on his car.

– I think it’s ugly, says Jan Emanuel Johansson.

Jan Emanuel Johansson has come into conflict with the law. On Wednesday afternoon he was detained by the police in Roslagstull, Stockholm. You tell yourself what caused the incident.

– I’ve broken the law. I have driven my vehicle without a license plate there.

Why?

– Because I think it’s ugly. This car is not manufactured to carry a license plate.

Driving a car without a government sign is a crime punishable by a fine of 2,500 SEK. But there is nothing that significantly affects Jan-Emanuel.

– I am fully aware of that. I was arrested last week and fined. So I have nothing to blame, he says.

Jan-Emanuel emphasizes that he has nothing tacit about the police, but, on the contrary, “he likes the officers.”

– They were super nice, I really like the agents. Next time I’ll offer coffee and donuts.

Next time?

– Yes, I am in this now and I am buying a new car. It also has no license plates, says Jan Emanuel Johansson.
