Jan Boklöv is forced to leave “Mästarnas mästare” on the advice of the doctor.

Jan BoklövThe 54-year-old was one of those who this weekend would have started filming the 2021 “Masters of the Masters” at SVT. But now the ski jumper is forced to leave the popular television competition, by order of the doctors. SVT announces it in a press release.

Boklöv underwent in-depth medical examinations prior to his participation in the program and in those examinations it appears that the doctors advise the ski jumper not to compete, for health reasons.

Instead, SVT’s expert commentator on biathlon jumps, Fredrik Lindström, 31, in the short term.

– Fredrik has been on the “Masters of the Masters” shortlist of exciting potential entrants since his career ended. We are incredibly happy that he has now been able to appear on such short notice, he says. Anders Wistbacka, project manager for “Masters of the Masters”.

Lindström has one individual World Cup victory and three relay victories throughout his career, the last of which was in 2018. In 2019, he chose to finish his career.
