A man is suspected of pouring gasoline on his wife’s body and lighting a fire on her because he wanted to separate.
Now the man is being accused of serious murder and murder of his wife and son.
“I just thought about scaring her,” he says on interrogation.
In December last year, police, an ambulance and dozens of fire trucks were alerted to a residential area in Tumba, just outside Stockholm. A security company had called the SOS alarm after seeing smoke through the house’s camera and that people were still in the house.
Inside were the mother and father of the family, and their four children. The father and three of the children survive with minor injuries. The mother and an adult son are found deceased.
The father of the family quickly became the main suspect. In police questioning, he says he fought with his wife during the night. She wanted to divorce, but he did not want to. He says he felt like he had been stabbed in the back.
According to police questions, the mother must have gone to bed after the fight. The man should have drunk half a bottle of liquor and then hunted for gasoline that he poured into a trash can and went up to the room.

“I just thought about scaring her”
“I was just going to scare her. I said “It’s gasoline. If you want, we can die together,” says the father on interrogation.
In a first version, the father says that he pours gasoline on his mother. In another version, he says he tripped and spilled gasoline on the floor. He claims that a fire had started because there was a heat light in the room.
“Then everything catches fire. The whole room, “he says.
The father says he did not know that the son was in the room. Then it must have been cut to kill itself.
“Why life, why should I live?” He says he thought.
So the father should have poured gasoline on his wife and various places in the house and started it.
“And then I saw that she died. I was in shock. I don’t know what I did. I went to my room and I burned it and it would also burn me. I will die,” he says in questioning.

Dad was arrested after the murder.
“Everything went wrong”
The father affirms on several occasions that he is surprised by what happened.
“I do not think so. I just wanted to scare her. That she would regret it. Everything went wrong, ”he says.
He also apologizes for what he has done and wishes he could get “such aid.” That you die only with medications. “
“Because I don’t want to live with this nightmare all my life. It’s pretty horrible if you think about it, ”he says.
The man now faces two counts of murder, as well as one serious murder.
