MALMÖ. Isaac Kiese Thelin has been successful at Malmö FF.
But MFF shows no interest in keeping its star after the season.
Now the king of shooters reacts to the long silence of the club.
– I thought I would have an indication anyway. But he has been calm, he tells Sportbladet.
Malmö FF beat BK Häcken 3-0 in the league final.
Isaac Kiese Thelin was behind all three goals: a 1-0 assist from Ola Toivonen and then two own goals from solid situations.
The 28-year-old is like this in a split second in the Allsvenskan shooting league with eleven goals.
And as recently as Thursday, he scored two goals against Lokomotiva Zagreb in the Europa League qualifiers. In early September, he was also called up to the national team as a reserve.

– Of course it is nice to score goals and points that help the team to score, he says.
His 2-0 high heel in a tight position was reminiscent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s classic goal against Italy in the 2004 European Championship.
– Almost, it was a bit like that. Anyway, it was a good heel.
“Nothing to comment on”
Kiese Thelin is on loan from Belgian Anderlecht, an agreement that expires in a few months when the Allsvenskan season ends.
Despite the success, MFF does not seem to show any interest in keeping their striker.
A silence to which Kiese Thelin now reacts.
– I have nothing to comment. I feel good and it has worked well, but I still have not received any alternative from here, he tells Sportbladet after the match against Häcken.
– It depends on the club. I’m waiting for something you can decide on in that case.
– It’s a bit strange that I still haven’t received anything.
Considering what you are achieving?
– Yes, exactly. We had a little chat before, but now I’ve been waiting. I thrive well and I do well, but if I have nothing to defend myself against, it is difficult. You can ask the club about it.
I waited a month
How long have you been silent?
– I’ve been waiting a month for a proposal. Thought I’d get an indication anyway. But he has been calm. I have been waiting. We’ll see when they want to come see me.
Are you eager to stay?
– Of course it felt good. I feel good at the club and with the players and the team. But you can see. It’s hard to say when you have nothing to decide, Kiese Thelin tells Sportbladet.
Sportbladet has searched in vain for Sporting Director Daniel Andersson for comment.
