Isaac Kiese-Thelin was loaned to Malmö FF from Anderlecht this season after Markus Rosenberg ended his career. The forward was a huge contributing factor to MFF taking home the gold and scoring 13 goals and four assists in the Allsvenskan. Together with Ola Toivonen, he formed a strong attacking pair and Malmö FF and the player has discussed a continued future together for some time.
Leaving MFF
But now it is clear that Kiese-Thelin, who also played for Malmö FF in the 2014 season, is leaving the club. According to information from SportExpressen, he will return to Anderlecht and Belgium after the last match in the Allsvenskan has been played. MFF ends the season against Östersund on Sunday.
Malmö FF sporting director Daniel Andersson confirms that Anderlecht have withdrawn Kiese-Thelin.
– It’s sad that Anderlecht called you in January to perform there. But we are working. We haven’t given up hope and we really hope he’s with us next year, says Andersson.

The forward told Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Niews three weeks ago that there was interest in him from foreign clubs and that MFF wanted to retain him.
– Interested clubs can call. I know there is interest but I also have to make the right decision, he told the newspaper.
