A woman from the Stockholm region is said to have kept her son imprisoned for several decades.
The son, now 40, was found lying on a blanket in the middle of the apartment’s floor.
He was reportedly severely malnourished, had all his teeth missing in his mouth, had poor speech, and had sores all over his body.

According to the information, the apartment must have been so messy and full of things that there were only small corridors to move around. The blanket the man was lying on must have been his bed. When the man arrived at the hospital, he was rushed to surgery for his injuries.
Several sources constant to Aftonbladet claim that the mother, due to an earlier incident in the family, was “very overprotective” and pulled him out of school in his teens. The relative suspects that since then he has been at home for all these years.
