Maybe you’ve seen “White Boys”, maybe you haven’t. If it is the Norwegian who stands in the way, there is nothing to fear. The popular series has now been made in a Swedish version, with the lead roles being played by three of the country’s biggest influencers – the Gothenburg trio JLC.

Now the series will have an exclusive premiere and will be broadcast on gp.se on Saturday night, December 5, starting at 9 pm

“Daddy’s Boys” takes place in Gothenburg and is about four spoiled upper-class teenagers who don’t smell that much apart from putting in Daddy’s money and drink. The premise of the series is the painful path to understanding and potentially growing or continuing on the same muddy path forward.

– We were able to see the Norwegian original before and we didn’t know at all what it was then. When we checked it out, we immediately felt that this content probably needed to be played at home, says Carl Déman.

The pod became an inspiration

Directors John Lundberg and Jonna Nordenskiöld watched JLC’s live broadcast of the podcast “Between Heaven and Earth” and found the basis for role distribution.

– There were very scattered rains on the characters. I’d probably say mine is the most realistic and normal. I recognized myself a bit, so for me it was maybe easier than for you. You’re still not as stupid in your head as the characters are, says Lucas Simonsson.

– Yes, we are very different from our characters, answers Fagerström.

– Jonna really helped us find our roles in a really good way. Although we did sketches before, this was of course much more difficult, says Déman.

Appeared as a request

It’s been a little over a year since the television series came up as an idea. But it wasn’t entirely obvious that she would get rid of him, even though the trio had long wanted to try the acting role.

– We feel that Youtube is our main job and we knew that we would have to put it aside if we accept this job. So we split a bit if it was the right decision, but we absolutely feel like it was, says Jonas Fagerström.
