US President Donald Trump at Orlando Sanford International Airport on Monday.
Donald Trump has tested negative for the covid-19 virus, says the White House doctor.
An hour after the announcement, the president of the United States held an electoral rally in Florida.
– I feel so strong. I’m going out, I want to kiss everyone in the audience, he said.
The president’s doctor, Sean Conley, says in a statement that Donald Trump has tested negative for the viral disease covid-19, and that he has done so for several days on a so-called antigen test, which gives faster results.
The evaluation of the president’s condition has been done in combination with various tests and analyzes, says the doctor. Based on the overall assessment, the president does not infect others, which according to the doctor’s statement is based on the American Institute for Infectious Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.
“Great to be back”
“I got over it and now they say I’m immune,” Trump himself said in front of a jubilant audience at Orlando’s Sanford airport in Florida.
– I feel so strong. I go out here, I want to kiss everyone in the audience. I kiss beautiful men and women, I want to give everyone a big fat kiss
Trump is seen as needing to win the state to have a real chance of being reelected and he spared no gunpowder, either in the attacks on opponents Joe Biden and Kamala Harris or in his tributes to the state.
– It’s wonderful to be back in my home state of Florida. We have been through a lot together and we will earn even more than four years ago.
Biden critically
Biden, on the other hand, was in Ohio for election rallies and attacked Trump there. Before the meeting of the presidential elections, he said according to the AFP news agency that:
– You come to Sanford with nothing but sloppy behavior, divisive rhetoric, and intimidating propaganda. But just as dangerous is what it doesn’t carry with it: no plan to gain control of the virus that has killed 15,000 Floridians.
– Trump knew how dangerous the disease is, but did nothing. Why didn’t you say anything? Why didn’t you warn us?
