On Monday afternoon, SVT announced that infection control in Blekinge wants to close all high schools in the county.
According to them, Bengt Wittesjö, an infection control doctor, wants to introduce distance education and should also have asked the county school politicians to make decisions.
– I hope that tomorrow in the knowledge committee we will make a decision. We will not have a different opinion to the profession and I have long expressed the opinion that there is not much difference between a high school student and a high school student, says Emma Swahn Nilsson (M), 2nd vice chair of the knowledge committee in Karlskrona, to SVT Blekinge.
I don’t want to comment on homework
This is something certified by Håkan Eriksson (S), Chairman of the Knowledge Committee.
– We have not made a formal decision yet, I want to make it clear. But it is hard for me to see that we would go against what infection control recommends.
However, the infection control doctor does not want to comment on the information.
At the same time, the call is not a shock to secondary schools in the region.
– We have had a continuous dialogue since before Christmas. But I don’t want anything to happen, but a decision must be made before schools start next Monday, Tobias Ekblad, director of education at Ronneby, tells SVT Blekinge.
