In the wake of the corona crisis: red-green-pink calls for more healthcare allocation
The municipality of Lund should increase the fitness allowance by SEK 1,300 this year. The red-green-pink opposition parties believe so.
All four parties, the Social Democrats, the Green Party, the Left Party and the Feminist Initiative, believe that the crown pandemic increases the risk of mental and social illnesses. In addition, many people lose daily exercise when they do not go to work, but instead work from home.
Therefore, the red-green-pink parties believe that the physical fitness allowance given to their employees by the municipality and its companies should be temporarily increased in 2021, from SEK 1,700 to SEK 3,000.
“An increase in the grant gives space for our employees, for example, to try a new outdoor sport, sign an additional membership that can facilitate the ‘crown adaptation’ of training sessions and nurture the body and soul so that stay healthy in this troubled and different time ”, write the four parties in a letter to the municipal council.
