I’m not sure Trump’s consent destroys his chances

That is an amazing concession made by President Donald Trump.

Which deliberately led the American people behind the light and thus contributed to an unnecessary number of deaths in covid-19.

But that doesn’t automatically mean that your chances of being re-elected deteriorate.

In a normal election campaign, the revelation about Trump would be explosive. Most of the candidates would not survive such a scandal.

But we have learned that Donald Trump is not bound by ordinary political laws.
His presidency has been a long streak of scandals in which the next one consistently triumphs over the previous one.

The other day, it was revealed that Trump spoke ill of the fallen soldiers and called them “losers.” For a day or two, the news dominated not only the media in the United States but throughout the Western world. Anyway, now it was probably for Trump, many thought.

Now comes the news that he initially lied to the American people about how dangerous the corona virus was and the soldiers’ scandal is being forgotten. In a few days, new revelations will arrive that will make the crown lie vanish. Who talks the most about Russia’s participation in the 2016 elections and the possible cooperation of the Trump campaign with the Russians?

Trump’s mistakes are so many that they drown each other.

“He’s willing to do anything for another four years in the White House,” writes Wolfgang Hansson.

That said, it is Trump’s handling of the crown pandemic that poses the greatest threat to his re-election. His acknowledgment that he deliberately led the American people behind the light comes pretty close to Election Day and reinforces the image of the monumental incompetence he has shown in dealing with the pandemic.

No small thing

If Trump, like most responsible leaders, had been open to the risks of the virus and acted accordingly, American citizens would have been able to protect themselves better and more quickly.
As a result, the infection had been limited and not that many people had died.

It is no small thing for a president to admit such abuse to his own people.

At the same time, the United States is now so divided and so polarized that Trump supporters will continue to show understanding for the president’s argument that he wanted to avoid creating panic.

For those who disapprove of Trump, the latest scandal is just another reason not to vote for him.

The deciding factor will be how those in the middle will react. Those who have not yet decided how to vote or whether to vote.

If Trump’s deliberate and irresponsible lie about the crown leads them to take the step towards Joe Biden, the revelation could definitely hurt Trump’s chances. But with nearly four years’ experience with the Trump circus, I wouldn’t dare invest in such a development.

When the president was asked yesterday about the unveiling of Bob Woodward’s new book, he responded with one of the most blatant lies I heard Trump tell during his time in the White House.

He claimed that his administration and the United States had done a fantastic job fighting COVID-19 and was one of the most successful countries in the world. This at the same time that everyone knows and can easily verify that the United States is the country with the most infected and the most dead in the world with 190,000. Also in terms of population, the United States is among the ten countries that have done the worst.

Controlled by one thing

But Trump has made lying the norm in American politics. If you do it all the time, lying obviously works.

Many Americans already realized when Trump downplayed the threat from the crown that he was speaking out against better knowledge. They understood that he was saying it in an attempt to prevent the stock market and the economy from falling. The booming economy has been his main argument for getting voters to vote for him. His double message about the crown was the president’s attempt to salvage the situation.

Everything Donald Trump does is governed by one thing. His burning desire to be re-elected. Nothing scares him anymore is the humiliation of losing. He’s ready to do anything for another four years in the White House.

If it means that several thousand Americans die unnecessarily in covid-19, then it may have happened.
