Ikea in Helsingborg was closed and evacuated by order of the police.
Hours later, it was learned that a woman had opened a pack of knives and disappeared among customers in the large furniture stores.
They haven’t found it yet.
– The reason for the inspection was that a woman from the kitchen department was seen to open a package with knives, took a knife and left, says Evelina Olsson.
– Because it is a large department store, we decided to empty the premises, hopefully to find the person, continue.

Unknown criminal suspicion
Police say they received the alarm at 4:26 p.m. An hour later, several of them heard from Aftonbladet that the department stores had begun to be evacuated. P
– All Ikea has been registered. A decision was made to check other stores as well and the person has not yet been found. We are also looking through surveillance cameras, says Evelina Olsson.
– There were about 20 policemen and 8 cars at the scene, says a person who was in the area when the department stores were evacuated.
No one has been found
According to the latest information from the police, the person has not yet been found. The police have searched Ikea as well as stores in the area outside of the department stores.
The woman should not have behaved threateningly. Police currently do not know where the woman is at this time.
– We also do not know why he took the knife, if it was some form of theft or if he did it with another intention, says Evelina Olsson.
